If you are feeling like you are in a hot seat this summer, here are a few clues as to why. During the Summer Solstice, June 21, 1999, a great shift to light speed began. Yeah, I know you are thinking to yourself "How much light can one stand all at once?" But I�ll tell you right now, the next 3 months are going to stretch your parameters of how much light you can absorb, how much you can heal, and how much you can awaken in a concentrated time frame. By Equinox, September 21, 1999, you are going to be clearer than you though possible. Old issues and patterns will be minimized and our connection to the cosmos will be hitting profound states� All we have to do is Let Go and let God. Come on now�. you�ve heard this before, but these days it is time to really LIVE IT.

This summer has so many things going on in the cosmos and calendars that is it mind boggling what we are going to experience together. The summer blasted off with the Solstice. In Mayan-Pleaidian Cosmology, June 21, 1999 is the Mayan day of 11 CAUAC. In number and sun, both represent radical transformation and dissolving of old patterns. It is delivers instant flashes of light illuminating the mind and spirit while stripping away old programs that do not serve our higher purpose. On June 21 a Chaski (messenger) began his run on the Inca trail from Machupicchu and reached Saqsayhuaman on June 23, to announce the arrival of the Pleiades. For the last month the Pleiades could not be seen in the Americas. This is the Inti Raymi ceremony, an age old tradition of the Inca. June 23 (13 IMIX), is also the first day of the last 40 days of the 260 day Tzolk�in cycle. These 40 days are the highest frequency period of the cycle and when humanity receives its most profound insights. It is as if we are standing on top the pyramid with hands stretched out to the sky absorbing all the universe can offer. This three month power house cycle ends on September 21 1999, with 12 CHUEN (a portal day). Here we will emerge out of the illusion and understand what is authentic just in time for Equinox.

In the Traditional Mayan Count, June 21 is the Mayan day 12 LAMAT. Here we begin this three month journey with great understanding and the ability to fulfill the great visions of our time, century and millennium. The cycle ends with September 21, 1999 and the Mayan day 13 AHAU, the highest evolutionary number and sun in the entire Tzolk�in and a powerful jumping off point for new beginnings. Only 53 days into this three month period, we again enter the last 40 days of the 260 day Tzolk�in cycle on 12 IMIX. Interestingly enough, this lands right on August 13, 1999� and what thousands in Mexico are calling the Day of Destiny.

On August 11, 1999, we experience a total Solar Eclipse, the last Eclipse of the century and millennium. This eclipse is also compounded by not only one, but two Grand Crosses that will effect us from August 11 through August 17. My astrologer friends tell me that the Grand Cross means that most of the planets will be in a cross pattern in fixed signs of the zodiac: Aquarius, Scorpio, Leo and Taurus. Gatherings are happening all over the Earth for this day but in England, one of the countries where the eclipse will be seen in almost totality, huge gatherings are taking place at many of the sacred circles. It is suggested by some that this alignment suggests time of great spiritual repositioning and preparation for a new pulse forward. An interesting point is that this alignment occurs on the thirteenth anniversary of the Harmonic Convergence and just a few day over one Tzolk�in cycle (human gestation period) before the major planetary alignment of 5/5/200 (More on 5/5/2000 and how it links to the Mayan calendars in future articles). The events in August 99 and May 2000 are much more impacting and worth watching over the dreaded turning to the year 2000 on January 1.

August 13, 1999 marks the arrival of what the ancient Aztecs prophesied as a powerful day that will mark a day of destiny, a turning point, for humanity. There are rumors spreading that on this day thousands, maybe even millions of indigenous could march in honor of the day, and to help restore their culture. How we can prepare for this day is anyone�s guess. Unfortunately the Aztec prophesy did not reveal what might be expected on this day. Some astrologers say that this day indicates earth changes; a transformation of values, even an overthrow of old political systems. Could the impact of the eclipse effect humanity only two short days latter?

And what about that new comet Lee? Scientists at the Millennium Group are worried that Comet Lee, first discovered by Australian Steven Lee on April 16, 1999, may pass discomfortingly close to Earth sometime in mid-August, 1999 and continuing through early 2000. They are expecting an increase in solar explosions (CMEs) in our solar system, earthquakes, and hurricane-like weather on Earth. Millennium Group scientist James B. Ervin says, "The truth of the matter about [Comet Lee] is that nobody can project its path. I believe there is ample evidence to suggest that it will pass much closer to Earth than originally anticipated. Especially, if Comet Lee is hit by a [solar explosion] during its perihelion passage."

NASA is predicting the most intense solar storms we've ever seen. The solar flare activity has already begun to accelerate. Many sensitive people will experience even more symptoms of tiredness coupled with anxiety and hyperness; short term memory problems. Many will be able to relate to past, present, and future all at the same time. This ability is disorienting at first, but enlightening, and exactly how the Star Elders live every day, along with many enlightened Inca, Maya, Aboriginals, Tibetans and Native Americans.

What will it take to breeze thought the heat of the summer?
As the Maya and Inca believe, we must use ALL of our bodies. This means the physical, mental and spiritual. If we want to flow through the light and darkness this period could manifest, we need to live in balance with our intuition, intellect, and physical actions. Get in touch with spirit, however it manifests for you. Make fear your enemy. Release this fear because what you are afraid of, you will manifest�But also realize that what you are feeling right now, you are also healing, so know the difference. Are you healing or just plain freaking out! Only you know the answer to this question. Remember in every moment to trust your intuition and instincts. Stand firm for what you believe in and toss all the illusions away. Flow with the changes and remember that chaos is a wonderful symptom of beginning to build a new world. Make chaos your friend! Open your heart to the cosmos and ask for the highest blessings for yourself and for all your relations. Most of all� Let go and Let God. After all, we set this up as a cosmic alarm clock for humanity to wake up!
